MyIvy started off as the brainchild of a Harvard Alum who has held various admissions related positions in school. Ritu has also dabbled in HR, Marketing and Communications over the past 7 years of her career. She has been mentoring international students, been an admissions ambassador, served on admissions committees and assisted students with college applications and scholarship process. Having pursued her Bachelors in Finance and Management with a minor in IT, she worked for MNCs in the US and then attended Harvard University before starting MyIvyAlly. With her strong focus, dedication towards each student’s application and profile building and an aggressive drive for student success Ritu embodies the characteristics that make MyIvyAlly unique for each of our applicants.
Rich has been tutoring since graduating from Yale University in 2002. His students have been accepted into schools such as Harvard, Princeton, University of Pennysvania, Georgetown, and Duke. Rich is passionate about musical theater and works as a music director when not tutoring. Other obsessions include dogs and quality espresso!
As a counselor advising applicants to undergraduate institutions, business schools, and other graduate
schools, students whom Josh has advised have gained admission to the most selective universities in the United States,
including Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Stanford, Caltech, MIT, Penn, Columbia, and UC-Berkeley. Josh graduated from Princeton University with a degree in English and earned his master in public policy, at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. Josh is a member of the Overseas
Association for College Admission Counseling and an associate member of the Independent Educational
Patti is passionate about improving the state of written communication. She has also served as Executive-in-Residence in the Schroeder Family School of Business Administration at the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana (USA) and as Academic Director of the university’s Writing Center. Her university positions followed a career that spanned more than 30 years in marketing, financial PR, and advertising. She holds degrees in English from the University of Evansville (B.A.) and Indiana University (M.A.) in Bloomington, Indiana (USA). She and her husband have traveled extensively including visits to India, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Guatemala, Italy, France, England, and Canada. They have two sons (and daughters-in-law) and six grandchildren.

Brian graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. After working for several years as a bond trader and a corporate strategy consultant, he began volunteer SAT tutoring for underprivileged students through New York Cares. He quickly discovered his passion for tutoring and the positive feedback from his students encouraged him to teach other students to use his proven methods.
Brian’s tutoring experience includes SAT, ACT, U.S. and world history, ISEE, SSAT, GMAT, GRE, SHSAT, statistics, Spanish, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and college essay writing. A Long Island native, Brian enjoys golf, snowboarding, reading and travel.
